Thanks to everyone who turned out for the Del Ray Garden Fest on April 21st. It was a
great honor for Carla to pay well-deserved tribute to Scott Knudsen and Jennifer Pease,
the recipients of the 2024 Ellen Pickering Environmental Excellence Award, for founding
the Northern Alexandria Native Plant Sale, and keeping it going for nineteen years with
the help of a few volunteers - and no organizational sponsorship. Their dedication, hard
work, and logistical genius has turned this great sale into the largest native plant sale
in the metropolitan area, and one of the biggest in the greater region.
Come out to this year's spring sale on Saturday, April 27th at the Church of the Redeemer
in Alexandria, shop for native plants, and congratulate Scott and Jennifer in person!
We're at the Four Mile Run Farmers' Market on Sundays from 9 to 1. We bring preorders
and a huge display of plants for sale.
The market is at 4109 Mt. Vernon Avenue in Alexandria, just below S. Glebe Rd.,
on Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm. There is ample free parking!
We offer free delivery to all Alexandria mailing addresses and all Northern Virginia locations
inside the Beltway. Call us for a delivery estimate outside that area. We're looking for other
pickup points throughout the area; if you have a commercial spot w/parking, let us know!
We will be attending all of our regular spring off-site plant sales. We will post our spring
plant show schedule as soon as it is finalized.
